Location data

When you allow location access, your browser's geolocation coordinates are sent to a reverse-geocoding service (OpenStreetMap Nominatim) to determine your city, state, and country. This is used only to look up the dry day status for your area and is not stored on our servers. If you decline location access, you can type in a city name instead, which is looked up the same way.

Crowdsourced reports

If you submit a "confirm" or "report" button click, your approximate location key (country/state, not precise coordinates) and the date are recorded so other visitors can see aggregate community reports. No personal identifiers are attached to these submissions.

Cookies and advertising

This site displays advertising served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings.
